Senior Web Analyst, Amsterdam (vervuld)

For the European Headquarters of our client, a premium world-wide brand, we are looking for a Senior Web Analyst. The Senior Web Analyst will support the Research and Analytics team to improve online customer experience with data-driven insights.


The Senior Web Analyst will play a crucial role in providing essential insights and inputs to the day to day trading and wider ongoing digital strategy. This Senior Web Analyst will be the analytical guru and thrive off analyzing raw data, drawing conclusions and executing actionable recommendations to make the online customer experience the best!


Key activities

  • Use web analytics and other tools to derive business decisions regarding its online universe
  • Analyze website design, usability, structure, and effectiveness using behavioral analysis, data mining, customer segmentation, performance measurements, monitoring, and other statistical methods
  • Recommend website changes to improve customer experience and business results
  • Ensure sites are optimized and cross-platform and cross-browser compatible
  • Analyze and synthesize multiple data sources to provide actionable insight on customer needs and website performance
  • Design and automate business reports on traffic, conversion and other online customer behavior metrics and provide in-depth insights to drive action
  • Design and conduct A/B testing, SEO routines, competitive analysis and ad hoc analysis to make data-driven recommendations to support key web initiatives
  • Oversee ongoing tagging requirements of the organizations online universe and maintain a consistent tagging management process to ensure high data quality
  • CRM activities 
  • Be proactive and continuously seek to improve processes and procedures within business as usual and project work



We search for candidates who match this profile:


Education & experience

  • Successfully completed bachelor or master studies or comparable education (Business Administration, Mathematics, Analytics, Statistics)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years professional experience in Web Analytics (and preferably also in CRM), and working with analysis tools
  • Experience in advanced web analytics methodologies such as experimentation and testing, competitive analysis
  • Proven record in providing essential insights and inputs and therewith changed the digital strategy or business practices
  • Expertise in the SEM (Search Engine Marketing) / PPC (Pay Per Click) and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) strategies and experience measure SEM/PPC and SEO campaigns


  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to autonomously and efficiently read, sanity check and analyze data (and deliver actionable recommendations)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills (fluency in English required)


  • A proactive personality, a self-starter, providing innovative insights and suggestions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to explain technical concepts and analysis implications clearly to a wide audience
